Human and Social Services Instructor
Walla Walla Community College is seeking applicants to create a pool of adjunct instructors to teach classes for the Associate of Applied Science-Transfer (AAS-T), Human & Social Services program in the Corrections Education program at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC) in Connell, WA. This pool of applicants will be used to draw from as needed as opportunities arise on a quarter-to-quarter basis. Qualifications: Master's degree in Human Services, Community Health, Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Health Promotion/Behavior, Human Development, Public Health or closely related field. Compensation for adjunct instruction is contingent on enrollment and paid in accordance with the contract between the WWCC Board of Trustees and the WWCC Association for Higher Education.
General Responsibilities:
Faculty members are professional educators with the primary responsibility of providing a quality education for all WWCC students. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor, and facilitator of learning. This position reports to the Dean of Corrections Education at CRCC and will be responsible for teaching classes to offenders housed at CRCC. Successful candidates will teach assigned classes, prepare teaching materials, assign grades, maintain records, and consult with students as required by the instructional division.
