Manager (Dairy Operations)

The University of Maryland is accepting applications for a Manager of their Dairy Operations Program (Full Time), located at their Central Maryland Research and Education Center- Clarksville Facility, Ellicott City, MD 21042.

Duties: The person in this position will oversee the milking and replacements of a 75-head dairy herd, maintained for research and educational programs. Must have knowledge of animal husbandry, crops and cropping systems and the willingness to be hands-on working Manager performing tasks in the daily operations with the facility employees. This is a supervisory position.

Minimum Qualification: B.S. in Animal and/or Dairy Science or related Field; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A.I. Certification, Maryland Public Agency Applicator’s Certificate, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Eight (8) years working with a Dairy Herd Program and two (2) years supervisory/management experience in a research environment.
