Public Works Mechanic & Transfer Station Supervisor

The Town of Preston, CT Department Of Public Works is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Public Works Mechanic & Transfer Station Supervisor. Under general supervision and direction of the Public Works Manager and Crew Leader, performs skilled automotive work in the inspection, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of Town trucks, heavy and light vehicles and equipment, and other mechanical equipment. This position is also responsible for the daily operations of the Preston Transfer Station and the supervision of assigned staff. The hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday & Saturday with additional overtime as required.
