Lead Payroll Coordinator

Rider University invites applications for a Lead Payroll Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager of Disbursements, this individual will assist with payroll functions; including tax compliance, deposits, filings, reconciliations, salary and various benefit expense budgets, and disseminating information on regulatory changes to the campus community. The Lead Payroll Coordinator will assist with the table maintenance for the Banner HR system, including set up of new and updating of existing, at least annually, for all the benefit, deduction, tax and system required tables ensuring compliance with all tax and reporting requirements. Individual will also support the Payroll Manager on all regulatory and system upgrades for Banner HR, developing test plans, monitoring progress, determine time frames and sign off on implementation time lines.
- 5-7 years of demonstrated strong payroll experience.
- Basic understanding of general accounting.
- Experience required with automated payroll systems (ADP a preference).
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
