Assistant Teacher - Ferris State University. The Early Learning Center is seeking Assistant Teachers to join our NAEYC accredited team. This full-time, twelve-month position includes a comprehensive benefit package (sick, vacation, and holiday pay as well as medical insurance and retirement opportunities). The responsibilities of this position include supporting teaching staff in supervision of children. Manage classroom supervision in absence of teaching staff. Develop end-of-day learning experiences for children in assigned classroom. Ensure sanitation requirements completed at the conclusion of each day. Handle end-of-day communication with parents for children enrolled in wrap-around childcare. Required: A minimum of 12 credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, or closely related field as defined in the State of Michigan Licensing Regulations for Child Care Centers R. 400.8122. or the equivalency as detailed in the State of Michigan Licensing Regulations for Child Care Centers R. 400.8122 (6). Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, and pre-school age students. Upon appointment: Child & Adult CPR/First Aid certification and current enrollment in MIRegistry.
