Assistant Professor - Physics - Ferris State University. The Physical Sciences Department seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Physics. Duties include teaching undergraduate physics lectures and labs along with oversight of a small observatory, plus teaching astronomy lectures and labs if qualified. The successful candidate must provide evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate education, potential for teaching excellence, effective communication skills, and the interpersonal skills to work with a diverse array of students and colleagues. The start date of this position is August 2023. Required: Ph.D in Physics OR a Ph.D in Astronomy OR Physics Education with an M.S. in Physics. Prior teaching experience. The successful candidate must provide evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate education, potential for teaching excellence, effective communication skills, and the interpersonal skills to work with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
