PK-5 Principal

Due to professional advancement, Cross County Community School is accepting applications for a PK-5 Principal for the 2023-2024 school year. Cross County elementary school has a PK-5 enrollment of approximately 170 students. Successful applicant must have or be eligible for a Nebraska Administrative Certificate.

Candidates have an excellent opportunity to join a Marzano Certified High Reliability School and a community that fully supports the school district. Starting date will be Monday, July 31st 2023. Salary will be competitive based on administrative experience and specific skillsets that candidates bring to the district.

Cross County is a Class C-2 school district located 15 minutes north of York.

Formed: The Cross County Community school district was formed during the 2001-2002 school year. During this year, the Stromsburg Vikings and the Benedict Eagles brought together their students, staff and communities to create the Cross County Cougars. We enjoyed our first year together in 2002-2003.

Location: As time has passed, the need for updated facilities has become a concern. The site of the new Cross County Community School is located approximately three miles south of Stromsburg and/or five miles north of Benedict. Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade are all housed under one roof as of November 2008.
