Responsibilities
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
* Provide direct instruction in various subjects while adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.
* Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic growth.
* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to create a supportive educational environment.
* Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
* Conduct assessments to evaluate student performance and inform instructional practices.
* Engage in mentoring and tutoring activities to support students' personal and academic development.
* Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of special education practices.
Skills:
* Strong mentoring abilities to guide students in their academic journey.
* Experience in childcare or working with children in an educational setting.
* Knowledge of special education principles and practices, including early intervention techniques.
* Proficiency in classroom management strategies that promote a positive learning environment.
* Experience in tutoring students with diverse learning needs.
* Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
* Skills in curriculum development tailored for special education settings.
* Understanding of library services and resources that can enhance student learning experiences.
